The Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Mounouna Foutsou, visited the "La Rosière" Vocational Training Centre in Yaoundé on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for a supervisory visit to the Yaoundé 2 written exam centre, as part of the 2026 session of the national end-of-training vocational exams.
This session mobilises 8,231 candidates nationwide, across 38 specialties. The Yaoundé 2 centre alone accounts for 1,801 candidates across all industrial trades, including 1,791 at CFP La Rosière. The centre hosts the national exam for the Vocational Qualification Diploma (DQP) in industrial trades, in specialties such as industrial electricity, heavy equipment operation and handling, masonry/construction, refrigeration and air conditioning, automotive repair, hospitality-catering/cooking-bar-restaurant, professional hairdressing, automotive trades and health.
On arrival, the Minister was welcomed by the centre's staff. The visit continued with a tour of several classrooms where written exams were underway, including the room for Medical Delegate candidates (103 candidates) and the large hall hosting Hospitality-Catering-Cooking-Bar candidates (439 candidates), along with discussions with room supervisors on how the exams were being conducted. The visit concluded with a stop at the exam's technical secretariat.
September 8, 2026, dedicated to the theoretical papers, closes a five-day cycle of practical exams held the previous week. This session marks the culmination of candidates' training and a step towards their integration into the professional world.
