- Definition of the broad pedagogical and andragogical orientations of vocational training
- Research and production of pedagogical documents and resources in the field of vocational training engineering for employment, in liaison with the National Centre for Education (CNE)
- Standardisation of the vocational training system and mechanisms for employment, their classification and rehabilitation
- Development of the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of vocational training methods
- Monitoring of the application of training standards
- Implementation of vocational training reference frameworks
- Permanent adaptation of training technologies to best practices
- Participation in cooperation with institutional and technical partners and with enterprises
- Involvement and consultation of local, regional, sectoral and national professional commissions
- Definition, grouping and study of vocational training sectors
- Production of pedagogical and andragogical support documents
- Drawing up and dissemination of the vocational training map
- Development of distance learning
- Validation of proposed subjects for national and specific examinations, in liaison with the professional sector concerned
- Evaluation of training in specialised vocational training institutions, in liaison with the administrations and bodies concerned
